Acumen 1.1 - The All NEW! Tempest - Fully Fitted |
|
|
Acumen Cat 1 Insurance Approved |
Acumen’s new Cat 1.1TEMPEST alarm/immobiliser is small, with three potent internal sirens, and it is totally waterproof for reliability. Acumen are the UK’s only independent manufacturer of electronic motorcycle security and their new Cat 1.1 is independently tested by Thatcham* to their Category One standard.
Measuring just 112mm x 56mm x 32mm the Cat 1.1 is the most compact alarm/immobiliser available today, making it simpler to fit on modern motorcycles, where space is at a premium, and trickier for thieves to locate too.
Totally waterproof resin encapsulated electronics and waterproof automotive-specification connectors rated to IP67 ensure reliability whatever the weather. Acumen is the ONLY manufacturer to produce bike alarms to this standard. Meanwhile its class-leading current draw of 1.8mA backed up by Intelligent Battery Sense™ (that provides a 3-stage sleep mode based on battery state and time) minimises the impact on the bike’s battery.
Three sirens create enough noise to deter the boldest of thieves. The main siren (believed to be the loudest on a Thatcham system) has two back-up sirens, which are located behind a metal armour plate, with their own driver circuit for added security.
Owners can programme the CAT1.1 from the key fob, enabling them to select siren tones, turn on the Nudge Sensor, etc.

Total Tracking and Security System
Imagine a state of the art tracking and security system with the functionality and features of a fleet management tool - think Acutrac!
This is, we believe, the smallest tracker on the market today - and it's 100% waterproof. This one can be hidden! (Some trackers are so large there's no where to hide them on a motorcycle - so the thief lifts the seat, finds it, throws it away.) Tracking is not anti-theft, it's post-theft. But we always felt that with all that technology available, it would be a shame if you couldn't use it for a bit of fun. The AcuTrac Premier device works on three principals, GPS, GSM and RFID. Also, the whole device can be configured from a web site - you have your own access codes for your device(s). Will work anywhere - worldwide - providing there's a mobile phone signal.
GPS gives the best accuracy, and you can use the device to track yourself - speeds, directions, times and dates etc - great for touring holidays, those memorable trips, and of course, track days. But, like most things, GPS has it's limitations and there are times when it may not work too well. GPS has to 'see' the sky to get a fix on the satellites it needs to get a fix on. If it can't get a fix, it won't know where it is. In this scenario, a GSM location can be obtained - basically which mobile phone cell the device is in which will give an area location. An Active RFID will then enable an operator to pin-point where the device is.
The device can be configured to give you warnings for movement, low vehicle battery, low back-up battery (internal battery in the tracker itself) and it also has two inputs (Premier only) that will give you warnings - from, for example, the vehicle (Thatcham) alarm or the garage door.
Acutrac is a small device that uses a combination of location technologies to allow users to track the movement or position of their vehicle/asset via a dedicated ‘web-panel’. Users also have the ability via mobile phone, PDA or the internet to determine how the system is activated – manually or automatically for example if the vehicle/asset moves out of a pre-set area. Acutrac can also be used as a fleet management tool as other devices can be monitored on the same web panel.
Specifications
The Acutrac system has been designed specifically for the harsh environment that a motorcycle presents - it is small so can be hidden away in a variety of areas on a vehicle/asset; is fully sealed to protect it from the elements; is intelligent in that it conserves as well as monitors vehicle/asset battery power and automatically recharges its internal back-up battery; is simple to install and can also be transferred between vehicles/assets.
Broad Application
Although designed primarily for motorcycles, Acutrac is perfectly suited to applications on other vehicles or assets such as caravans, trailers, plant, cars, commercials, quad bikes, agricultural vehicles and horse boxes. |

Battery Maintenance is an art. Making a charger that will maintain - 24/7 - all the different types of batteries available today takes a bit of thinking! The Platinum/Titanium/DUO range of chargers will maintain all types of lead-acid batteries including MF (Maintenance Free) and GEL.
We recommend that the maximum battery rating is 60Ahr, but any of these chargers will cope with a larger battery if needed - it just takes longer. A local farmer uses some Platinum chargers to keep his electric-fence batteries charged - and those batteries are 90AHr. |

HID stands for "High Intensity Discharge". Becoming more popular on high-end cars, the light given from an HID 35W bulb is more than double the light from a 60W Halogen bulb. Xenon light is based on the gas discharge principle , where an arc of light is created between two electrodes within the glass bulb filled with metal salts and inert Xenon gas. So there's no filament.
Xenon bulb life is in the order of 4500 hours - three times the life of a Halogen bulb.
HID lights are powered at 80V, so a 'ballast' power unit is needed to power these bulbs. Acumen makes Ballast units available in two different sizes, the more expensive slim version being more suitable for some motorcycles, especially naked - non fairing - motorcycles or custom vehicles.
All Ballasts have under and over voltage protection as well as short circuit protection. All units are 100% waterproof. |

At last! An intelligent chain oiler. One that gives an amount of lubricant relative to the power going through the chain. Think about it...as the speed of the motorcycle increases, the power given by the engine increases at a higher rate. So, if you need, say 30 hp to do 70mph, then you'll need a lot more than 60 hp to make the motorcycle do 140mph. Roughly speaking, the power varies with square of the speed. Inside the 'brain' of the CL10 is a 3D map so the lubricant flow rate can vary dependent upon the flow rate figure selected by the rider while riding the motorcycle and also depending upon the speed of the motorcycle.
The lubricant is under pressure, so it doesn't rely on gravity to make it drip out - it's actually forced out on the Chain. And it doesn't leak lubricant when you're at traffic lights!
Display includes auto-dim for night-time use.
NOTE! Picture shown of display includes optional Alloy Billet Surround. Standard finish is Black plastic. |

Nobody knows the world of Universal Gear Indicators as well as Acumen. The Market leader. Still the only company to produce White displays - and the only company to produce the red display in 'Sunlight Viewable' LED. They cost a bit more to manufacture, but worth every penny. Now with a voltmeter which displays charging voltage when the bike is running, and when you switch the ignition off it will show battery voltage for 60 seconds before switching off automatically. Auto-Dim for night-time use. |
